Application Engineer for Computational Electromagnetics (CEM)

ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT), the leading developer and provider of tools and innovative in silico solutions for targeted life sciences applications, is currently seeking applicants for the post as Application Engineer for Computational Electromagnetics (CEM).

ZMT, together with its partner organizations Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT’IS), Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG), and TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions), form the Zurich43 alliance. Z43’s mission is to expand knowledge and technology for:

• Characterization, optimization, and application of the electromagnetic (EM) near-field
• Predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and physiology in complex anatomies
• Medical applications

Your tasks:

• Develop showcases for various applications demonstrating features and capabilities of the simulation platform (web and desktop versions)
• Provide technical support for global users
• Deliver technical presentations at seminars and workshops
• Participate in scientific conferences and exhibitions
• Research and monitor market trends and competitor products
• Collect feedback from users and partners and collaborate with R&D teams to improve the simulation platform
• Support development team during software release activities (testing software, writing application notes and manuals, training sessions)

Your profile:

• University degree in electrical engineering or physics
• Solid background in EM theory
• Knowledge and practical experience in at least one of: computational modeling and simulation, antenna design, medical device engineering, software development, scripting, web applications, electromagnetic field theory
• Good understanding of software development processes
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to high-quality work
• Self-motivation, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, friendly personality, team spirit
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently under tight deadlines
• Commitment to respond effectively to needs of partners and customers
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); German communication skills are a plus
