Head of Mathematics and Computer Science

100% – 2-year contract – August 2025

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic leadership for the Mathematics & Computer Science department across lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP.
• Inspire and mentor staff to maintain high standards of teaching, assessment, and student outcomes.
• Deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in Mathematics and/or Computer Science.
• Drive curriculum innovation, integrating digital tools and best practices.
• Oversee assessment, departmental planning, timetabling, and resource management.
• Foster collaboration with colleagues, students, and the wider community.
• Contribute to school trips, extracurricular activities, and whole-school events.

Qualifications and skills:

• Subject-related degree and PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven success in teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics and/or Computer Science.
• Strong leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead a department.
• Familiarity with international curricula and multilingual learners.
• Passion for education, innovation, and inclusive learning environments.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
