R&D engineer for Educational Products Development and space engineer
QZabre AG, Zürich, Switzerland
Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantum Technology Specialist to join QZabre in developing innovative educational products focused on quantum technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quantum technologies, with a particular focus on solid state physics and qubit control. Prior direct research experience on these topics is required.
The candidate will be leading a development project for an educational kit based on NV centres in diamond with the goal of demonstrating crystallography, quantization of atomic levels via level spectroscopy, and qubit manipulation on the Bloch Sphere. Direct past experience in education is a mandatory requirement.
The candidate will also lead the development of high sensitivity magnetometers for space domain applications. The candidate will have direct experience in the design, assembly and testing of optical and optomechanical systems to be used for space applications. This requirement is mandatory. Ideally, the candidate has worked with several suppliers and is aware of the testing required for optical systems in space applications, including performance testing, reliability testing, and environmental qualification. The candidate is familiar with laser technology and optics in general and has experience with Zemax or similar software.
The offer is for an open-end contract.
