To support its growth, LMS is seeking talented and motivated sales engineers for our Baar (Switzerland) office to work with our CEO and CEO, North America to identify and qualify sales opportunities, understanding potential customer needs, providing technical support through the sales process, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to sales and marketing strategies.
Primary day-to-day duties include:
- Supporting lead sales executives in identifying new business opportunities with new sales prospects and existing customers.
- Organizing and participating in sales meetings, and attending conferences, trade shows, and industry events to promote LMS products and services.
- Giving product demonstrations and presentations, providing pre-sales training, and addressing technical questions and concerns to help clients understand the advantages and use cases for our products and services.
- Assessing client requirements and managing and coordinating the technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses and quotations, and assisting in proposing customized technology solutions.
- Liaising with support, software, and hardware engineers to respond to pre-sales customer technical requirements and concerns and communicate client feedback and market intelligence to product development and R&D teams.
- Fully understanding LMS products’ technical features, functionalities, and documentation, including user manuals, product technical specifications and product training sessions.
- Assisting in the training of other members of the sales team in the uses and benefits of LMS products and services and in the creating and maintenance of sales literature.
- Maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships to maximize recurring revenue and upsell relevant applicable LMS products and services.
- Ensuring that specific sales targets are met and assisting in reviewing sales performance and return in investment.
- Staying current on industry trends, competitor offerings and relevant emerging technologies.
- Assisting in the creating and modeling of sales strategies for existing and future products and services.
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least two years’ experience as a technology sales engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
- A strong technical background with a deep understanding of FPGA-based hardware and embedded systems.
- Excellent sales, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose innovative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build a rapport and establish strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrable experience in providing expert technical advice to customers, listening to feedback and communicating client queries and concerns internally.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Experience with sales methodologies and CRM systems.
- Fluency in English required, additional languages beneficial.
- Experience creating technical content, such as whitepapers or technical blog posts.
