What is the Opportunity?

At Ovivo, you have the opportunity to expand your skills and professional experience while collaborating with worldwide experts in water treatment. As Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will be responsible for managing project execution within the sustainability department focusing on development and implementation of creative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, collection and analysis of actual semiconductor plants data, serving Ovivo customers.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with good public transport connection (Tram 10) and free car parking. The role will require some international travelling.

What is the role?

  • Manage execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from idea to successful implementation and market launch
  • Lead implementation of creative ideas, concepts and strategies for water consumption reduction, reuse and recycling in the semiconductor industry
  • Develop new digital tools for defining complete water management strategies for complex systems
  • Serve customers throughout project lifecycle
  • Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx)
  • Analyze water and wastewater qualities
  • Design, pilot and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants
  • Conduct literature and web research
  • Create and contribute to future company know-how
  • Write technical documentation and reports

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies such as P&IDs, PFDs, mass balances, OPEX
  • Experience in process engineering and design of water/wastewater systems
  • Interest to develop expertise in process engineering
  • Good understanding of economics and sustainability
  • Self-initiative, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure
  • Mobility and willingness to travel worldwide for several weeks
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills for close cooperation with international departments, suppliers, and customers
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). German, French or other languages are a plus
  • Swiss or EU citizen or holding a Swiss C resident permit
